In this section you will learn the basic functionalities of how to set up your attributes and the recommender settings in a product element.
You can navigate to your attributes by using the left navigation bar and clicking on Attributes.
The recommender type describes the type of how an attribute (which is connected to a question) should be handled in the recommender algorithm.
Editing the recommender type of an attribute
Recommender Type | Description | When to use |
---|---|---|
Any | Standard setting: Matches will increase the score | Every time when exact or exclude do not fit. |
Exact | Considers only products where the user attribute (= user’s choice) is the exact value of the product attribute | Useful for questions like gender. |
Exclude | Opposite of exact: Excludes all products where the user attribute is the exact | Useful for questions about allergies. |
Not relevant | The attribute will not be considered in the recommender. | Tag all attributes that are not used in the attribute with this type: e.g. “name of a dog”, email, … |
In addition to the recommender type, you can choose the recommender weight. The weight describes the scoring/ranking of the question. The higher the recommender weight, the more higher the scoring of a product that matches the user's answer for this attribute.
